What are the weirdest song titles in your playlist or music collection?
Submitted by Charline.
Actually that uploaded file doesn't seem to work. It's a .mov. You can try googling for Sinister Ducks to find and mp3 (it used to be on the Harper Collins website but doesn't seem to be any more), or if you are desperate I'll put it up to DL someplace.
It's a Neil Gaiman thing. I <3 Neil Gaiman.
What is your current obsession(s)?

Drawing. Even though I can't get my stupid scanner to scan them properly.
The idea of starting seeds for spring. (But I have an odd mental block against actually sowing them, yet.)
Finding a good place to stay in Provence in the summer. Hours and hours spent surfing those vacation-home ads. I want to go for at least three weeks. A month would be great but not sure we can stay away from Work that long.
Continous obsession: my food blog. Amazing that I don't get tired of it.
Continuous obsession: trying to lose weight whilst eating well.
Have you ever played matchmaker? How did it go?
I once inadvertently played matchmaker. I thought two people I knew would really get along as friends, so when I was able to finally them together in person and saw they did indeed get along I was quite happy.
A few months later, the girl in the equation confessed to me that they were in the middle of a relationship. Thing is, she was married. I don't know why I didn't see that they might get along a bit better than the FRIEND level. But more than that I think I could not see how on earth she could find him attractive in THAT way since to me he was Totally Not My Type. Great as a friend but otherwise...like no way. So the fact that she found him attractive...just knocked me over. Each to his/her own indeed.
But anyway...now they are not together anymore. She's married to someone else, so I guess she wasn't happy in that marriage anyway.
What's the most famous movie you've never seen?

The one that draws the most gasps of disbelief, especially from the nerd-geek contingent, is Blade Runner. Even though I love neo-gothic-scifi, and Harrison Ford.
What are your resolutions for 2007?
Well I have started actively working on two of them:
- Lose weight, get fitter. (tracking the first 100 days here on Vox, writing up progress/discoveries on Just Hungry)
Draw, paint or make something every day. (Posting those on my personal site)
How did you find out the secret behind Santa Claus?

I had my suspicions when I found a whole bunch of wrapped presents under the bed in my parents' bedroom. This was when I was about 7. So, that Christmas, I willed myself to wake up around midnight (using the old hairbrush-in-bed trick..you roll over and wake up saying OW). Sure enough, there they were stuffing the stockings and arranging presents under the tree. I can't say I was disappointed, more smugly pleased that my suspicions were right.
In retrospect that time (when I was age 7-10 or so) was the happiest time of my childhood, since a couple years later the parents started to have Serious Troubles (resulting later on in divorce) and we basically stopped doing Christmas, so I only have warm memories of seeing my parents whispering and arranging the Christmas things around. Even if they did put too many oranges in the stockings. (I used to hate oranges.)
And yanoo, wouldn't you rather get presents from your mummy and daddy, rather than some fat old dude with odd taste in clothing?
What food or drink do you love when it's cold out? (Recipes and recommendations, please!)
There's nothing like a piping hot soup to warm you up. One of my favorites is this lentil chestnut soup on my food blog .
Provided you can find peeled chestnuts (frozen, canned, whatever), it's super-easy, satisfying, and so warming.
What's your favorite thing to shop for?

People who know me (online) might think the answer is food. But nooo. It is in fact, art and stationery supplies.
I cannot stop myself when I go into a good art/stationery store. I am drawn to all kinds of things, but I'm really particular to notebooks and blank journals. I have a huge collection of them - wherever I go, I buy these. And I rarely use any - I like to keep them pristine. I've been collecting these since I was in high school, and now have hundreds of them.
Besides notebooks I love inexpensive yet cool pens, interesting erasers, colored pencil sets, watercolor sets that come in those little cakes...
I even thought about starting a site about 'bunbougu love' (bunbougu is the generic Japanese term for stationery and office supplies)....though I fear not many people may share my fetish..not sure.
I recently started taking a bookbinding course so now I can make my own blank journals! This is exciting territory.
I missed this one from yesterday, and I don't want to lose any of my senses thank you. So here is what I want to do in the next 5 years:
1. Buy a country home (heavy DIY probably)...probably in France
2. Get into much better shape than I am now.
3. Make at least 1/2 the income from non- web development sources.
4. Figure out if I/we want to have kids or what, and try to have one if the answer is yes (how's that for ambivalence)
5. Do a round the world trip, concentrating heavily on Asia and Australia, possibly Africa.
If I can get at least 3 done,I'd be a happy bunny.
What TV show(s) will you be watching this season? Why?
Submitted by ducnly.vox.com.
You mean, you have to plan ahead for the whole season? OMG.
I guess the one show I will be sure to watch that is coming up soon, though I will have to download it via iTunes, is Top Chef. Let's hope the new host, Mrs. Salman Rushdie, will be less wooden than her predecessor, Mrs. Billy Joel.
On the Beeb, I'm looking forward to the upcoming new version of Robin Hood, as well as the rest of Jane Eyre. And the rest of Extras which is just hilarious. (Spooks, on the other hand, is just so...meh now.)
And OMG, Trinny and Susannah have moved to ITV! And the Beeb has two new hosts for What Not To Wear!
I should really force myself to watch more German TV to better my language skills, but I'm so lazy.
